1:11 pm - Have you seen this girl?

cupobutter
Sandra Hines
Her name is Sandra Hines, she turned 12 in October. Her father and I divorced when she was two. He moved to Idaho, then to Utah, and the last I heard he moved back to Idaho. It's been a very trying situation. I live on the East Coast. I don't have the money to fly back and forth trying to find him, and trying to get a lawyer in the correct state. If I can at least get a 100% guarentee on her location, then I can pursue legal issues in the future. For now, I just want to see my little girl. It's been 10 yrs.

Image hosting by Photobucket

She's two years older than this picture.

Please help, she has 3 little brothers who want to meet her.

4:37 pm - Provo Music Community

ruisenor
I started this community because I don't think there's enough awareness about all the great local music in Provo.

Join if you're interested in learning about all the great new bands and shows coming up soon, and feel free to post if you liked a show, heard a new local band, etc.

Hopefully we can use this to connect to everyone around and make the Provo scene a lot more fun, and help promote those great local bands we love!

Thanks,

Allyson (really, I'm awesome)

If you have a band that would like to play our venue, please contact me @: freezebeatzoff@hotmail.com Also, we're in a pretty dope hip hop crew called Beatz Off. Hello. I play for the Salt Lake City Women's Rugby team and we are desperately in need of a few good women. Don't know how to play? We'll teach you. Aren't in shape? Neither are we. Prefer drinking beer to playing sports? Yeah? What's yer point?

Seriously, this team is a wonderful way to meet some very cool people (a rugby team isn't a team, it's a family), get in some good excercise, and work out all kinds of aggression and demons.

We are a non-college women's club which means several things:

1. While we do want to be competitive, the name of the game is fun. SO EVERYONE will get their chance on the field. Bench warming is no fun. Bench warming makes people lose interest. SO if you show up, you play. There's no money on the table, no scholarships to be won, we just want everyone to have a great time playing a great sport.

2. While we practice 3 times a week (most weeks)we recognize that are team is made up of "grown ups" who have jobs, school, children etc. We're pretty understanding on legitimate excuses.

3. We are all over 21 and know how to have a damn good time. :)

4. Closely related to that, we like to have "socials" after every game and for no reason at all, so if you're looking for a way to stay in shape, do something different, and make new friends, this is the way to do it.

If anyone is interested in joining, or knows someone who would be, please e-mail Emily at deweye@law.utah.edu, or show up to Piper Down tonight at 7:30.

Hello everyone!

I will be setting up shop at Starry Night tonight, selling handmade bags, totes and purses! Come on by and pick something up for yourself and/or a loved one, and do so knowing that you're supporting a poor working girl AND that what you're getting is lovingly handmade from scratch!

If you'd like a peek at the kind of stuff you'll be seeing, check out my website: Yumiyah.com! Many of the designs set up tonight will be brand new.

Hope to see you there and thanks!

7:26 pm - The Punk Rawkin Experience.

thezed
i went to a couple of shows last night a local band- the sugarland run. did some crowd surfin' and now i have bruises all over my legs and two small paper - like cuts on my fingers. in short it was the bomb. then i jumped over to another show where everyone was pretty much standing around with their thumbs in their bum. at least at the last bands performance i got to punk pit it solo cause everyone left after Before Braille the feature band. some girl kept getting freshy fresh on me. i being a lamer didn't reply. nonetheless thats beyond my stories point. the point of my story is you can definitally feel different energy at different venues even if the same types or even same bands play. Muse Music was where the first show was and it was way raw energy by the last band. in contrast Papa Lee's was quite dead at the last band. would the lame stand around people please not go to the front of the concert so we energetic concert goers can rock the show? thank you. has anyone else felt the different energy at different venues. oh yah i forgot no one looks at this page. ha! so it was a retorical question cause it prolly won't be answered! well it was for my own vain reasons then. ha! a fly marrying a bumble bee! umm i am extraterestialing it outtie here now.

Peace~Love~Honey Bees
